Event Description
Montreal’s MARIANNE TRUDEL is a multi-talented pianist, composer, improviser, and arranger. At once energetic and passionate, her music cuts across a wide swath of musical interests. As a performer, she pursues an active career in a variety of settings ranging from solo performance to more intimate duos and trios, as well as larger ensembles. She has recorded six albums under her name, and her latest release on Justin Time, La vie commence ici, was nominated for a Juno in 2015 for “Jazz Album of the Year: Solo.” Trudel is a JazzFest favourite, and she returns to Victoria with a quartet that features another JazzFest favourite, internationally acclaimed trumpeter Ingrid Jensen.
