Event Description

This concert features the Canadian Premiere of British Composer Peter Maxwell Davies, De Assumtione Beatae Mariae Virginis (On the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary). This virtuosic work is scored for four woodwind, three brass, keyboard, percussion and string quartet. The programme also features the premieres of new works by Victoria composers Wolf Edwards and Douglas Schmidt.
