His name was Britton Haggarty and on top of being a great drummer, he was also an accomplished writer. "Sad Paradise" was one of the 3 books he wrote. What were the other 2? Does the name "Gene Vincent" ring a bell? He worked for "The Province" as a writer and was gigging in a jazz band when he was struck down November 1, 1999, but fortunately, his literary work lives on.
